Don’s Story

Students pose in front of the Alejandro Alvear School

Participants in the class pose with William “Teacher Willie” Puga in front of the Alejandro Alvear School.

I am the instructor for a course on the Natural History of the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador at The College of New Jersey. We just returned from our trip to the Galapagos Islands with Ecoventura Yachts. The 20 of us donated two video projectors (complete with cables and instruction manuals in Spanish), two new replacement bulbs, some dry erase markers, and a pair of binoculars (donated at the last minute by a student) to the New Era Galapagos Foundation and the Alejandro Alvear School on San Cristobal Island, Galapagos, Ecuador.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to teach my students the joy of generosity. The college provided the two video projectors, while the students raised money for the remainder of the items.
