We made another visit to Aruba in December to raise money and awareness for Aruba’s spay and neuter campaign!
When traveling to Aruba, we “Pack for a Purpose” not only for the animals, but for the orphanages on the island as well. “We feel it’s crucial to provide support for at risk children. Children are our future and education is key. We need these children to learn to be advocates for themselves and the animals.” Cassie Murvay, Board Member, One Love Foundation
We always check out the credible program, PackforaPurpose.org to see if there’s a participant where we are traveling to. We always bring backpacks full of requested supplies to Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba which supports Children’s Home Imeldahof.
Children’s Home Imeldahof offers shelter and guidance for 52 boys and girls from ages 6 through 17 years old, who due to circumstances cannot live with their parents or caregivers. The reasons are usually mental, physical and sexual abuse, neglect, or substance abuse by parents.
“We are a small foundation, but we pack a punch, have big dreams and it’s partnerships like these that enable us to make progress in fulfilling those dreams.” Cassie Murvay, Board Member, One Love Foundation
See something, do something.
