We are delighted to welcome Nhaturie Atkinson as one of our two new interns at Pack for a Purpose!
I’m a Junior at North Carolina State University majoring in Social Work and Psychology. In my free time, I enjoy taking trips, painting, being outside, working at the food pantry at NC State and skateboarding.
I found Pack for a Purpose on an email sent by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I’ve always had a passion for working with diverse communities and working to lessen poverty and food insecurities. Even throughout high school, I was volunteering at the food bank, elementary schools and working with various service organizations. When I saw the opportunity to apply as an intern for Pack for a Purpose, I knew I had to apply. The values of PfaP aligns closely with mine, so I was eager to start once Rebecca accepted my application! So far, I’m enjoying my time as an intern. I can’t wait to see how much I can learn and contribute during my time here.
