PfaP Travelers and Wilderness Safaris Make a Big Impact in Zimbabwe

Pack for a Purpose travelers continue to make a Big Impact. Guests staying at the Davison’s Camp and Little Makalolo Camp, Wilderness Safaris camps in Zimbabwe, recently took 27 kilos of requested items to benefit the children of the local schools. The supplies included toys, clothing, and school supplies, which were delivered to the Children in the Wilderness (CITW) program supported by both camps. These are all considered to be luxury commodities in the rural areas in which Wilderness Safaris operates and will be welcomed by students and teachers alike. Davison’s Camp and Little Makalolo Camp have been partnered with Pack for a Purpose since December 2013.

CITW is an independent non-profit organization established and supported by Wilderness Safaris. The organization aims to facilitate sustainable conservation through leadership development of rural children in Africa, helping children whose childhoods have been interrupted and/or disturbed by life-threatening conditions such as illness, poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. CITW works with eight schools in the Victoria Falls, Lukosi & Tsholotsho areas and distributes the supplies received through Pack for a Purpose among the schools based on need.

Pack for a Purpose applauds Wilderness Safaris, CITW, and all of our partners for continuing to have a strong commitment to supporting their local communities.
